  • Its beautiful custom tile and native stone entryway barely hints of the beauty that awaits you.
  • A stairway leads you from the parking area to Sapphire Breeze's front door, and the beginning of another world. The first of many arched French doors and windows, each measuring nine and one-half feet high, beckon you to enter.
  • Eclectic, fun touches are everywhere, from the colorful laughing sprite in the corner, to the whimsical lamps.
  • There's a complete video library, books, Satellite TV, VCR, and stereo.
  • Just outside is a beautiful tiled dining table, which comfortably seats eight, and even more in a pinch. The upper deck at Sapphire Breeze has both shaded and unshaded lounging areas.
  • Inside, there are casual dining areas, a convenient kitchen bar...and the fully equipped kitchen itself. Tucked into a corner behind doors, there's a convenient laundry area for guests' use.

  • The large 30 diameter infinity edge pool has a stationary swim jet for fun and exercise. An 8-foot high waterfall adds visual excitement. Pool lights and a wet bar are final touches.
  • Sapphire Breeze boasts plexiglass along the deck rails to maximize your views across multiple bays and the endless Caribbean Sea beyond.
  • Both bedrooms have full glass walls on two sides to maximize the spectacular view. The arched French doors along both walls can close as screen doors, or as glass doors to use the air conditioner.
  • This poolside bedroom suite has a full bath and is furnished with a king sized bed and a tropical marine motif.
  • The second bedroom on this level overlooks the Jacuzzi deck, with a king sized bed, which can be split into twins. The adjoining bathroom has two doors - providing inside access to this bedroom for late night kitchen snacks.
  • Twins can be converted to a King Bed. This room has a private bathroom and is on the same level as the great room and poolside bedroom.
  • Its 1300 square foot upper wrap-around deck is also furnished with a hot tub and an abundance of deck seating, taking advantage of the spectacular views of this timeless paradise.

  • Upstairs, the loft bedroom features a unique eight-foot wide three-sided dormer with custom shades. The queen-sized bed fits perfectly in this aerial perch.

The service from the VIVA team was outstanding from sales to the greeter to the team the dealt with the washing machine problem that could have happened at home.     Overall a terrific vacation. Sapphire Breeze is very comfortable, well-maintained and conveniently located. Tyronne was our greeter and he repreented Viva and the home very well. A few comments (none of which negatively impacted our stay): 1. The big screen
    TV in the living room was very nice (it even received Sirious XM radio) but is somewhat awkwardly located. 2. Other than the bar in the kitchen, there is no interior eating location (the outside table is great). 3. The curtains in the bedrooms, although very
    nice, don't fully cover the windows (or at least we couldn't figure out how to do so). 4. The smoke detector in the master / pool bedroom was missing. This is a very nice home and would recommend it. We hope to be back.

You are correct, the majority of the dining options at Sapphire Breeze lies outside where guests can enjoy the colors of the sunset.The flatscreen television placement (on the northern) was a necessary one due to the internal spiral staircase in the living room. On the upper level, the internal eating location is limited to the kitchen bar area. However, the lower level has a full dining area inside. We hope to have you back! The VIVA Team!

    We had an amazing week at Sapphire Breeze. There was plenty of room & privacy for all 10 of us. The hot tub died on us twice and the grill could stand to be replaced, but those are minor issues. Sapphire Breeze is a wonderful house and everyone wanted to stay "forever." We hope to be back.

    Enjoyed being closer to Cruz Bay than in the past. Very nice home with great view. Spacious bedrooms, great pool and patio. Water pump shut down a few times causing a bit of an irritation and last road getting to home is in terrible shape, but all and all our stay was great!

    Great location,5 minutes to Cruz Bay. Incredible views that words can not do it justice. Even though the interior could use some updating and the road leading to the villa needs repairs this villa is all about fun and outdoor living in St John. Walk out of your bedroom and jump into the pool or hot tub. The handmade tile work all around the villa is beautiful. Definitely recommend Sapphire Breeze and Viva!

    Sapphire Breeze was beautiful, we had a few issues like air conditioning that didn't work that were taken care of right away! Our only real complaint was the road leading up to the house was awful very large ruts and large rocks sticking out just terrible!!

    We loved the pool and all the beautiful tile work. I felt the housekeeping needed
    help, borders were tore off drapes in Master, ink in dryer. Steps to hottub about to cave in. We understand there was a lot of rain before we came and the
    road in was VERY bad. Needed a load of gravel as the ruts scraped the bottom of our rental. But the weather was perfect and regardless of the few things that weren't perfect, we had a wonderful vacation and will return.

    Let me begin by acknowledging that the week of our visit to St. John was unusually wet. Based on comments we heard from local residents, the island experienced a solid week of rain before we arrived and we experienced another solid week of rain during our stay. I understand that this abundance of rain did wonders for area cisterns, but it forced us to spend far more time indoors at Sapphire Breeze than we originally planned.

    Location wise, the villa is fantastic. The views from the bedrooms and pool deck are postcard perfect and the tile work throughout the house is magnificent - especially around the pool and hot tub. The pool itself is nice with its infinity edge and great waterfall feature. The surrounding grounds are well-maintained and nicely landscaped. We also appreciated the positioning of the home on the hillside; it shielded villa guests from views of other homes in the area.

    The problems we experienced rest with the general upkeep of the villa. The kitchen and bathrooms need updating; the bedroom doors are weathered and difficult to open/close; several door locks were broken making it difficult to secure the villa; the roof in the kitchen and downstairs studio apartment leaked – this was particularly bad in the downstairs studio apartment where an abundance of dripping water exposed the wood birdcage, sofa, and end table to water damage; the wind and rain blew in through the bottom of the bedroom doors – soaking area rugs; bedroom curtains were torn and difficult (if not impossible) to close making privacy a concern; and the hot tub needs repair as only a few of the main water jets were functional. The lack of air conditioning in the main portion of the house was difficult as well making the bedrooms the only comfortable place to relax during periods of long downpours. Despite these concerns – all of which are fixable – we haven’t ruled out a future stay at Sapphire Breeze, but we'd certainly pick a different time of year

      We did receive your completed survey and online review and wanted to thank you for taking the time to complete both. We can clearly see that you have invested time to complete. When we receive a review often time many guests do not provide the vast amount of details you provided and that you provided this to us was very appreciated and helpful. In response to your completed survey, we print and have each member of the staff review, initial/add comments. We then pass the survey off to the villa owner so that he can see the review. Finally, we work on a plan to implement solutions to any issues. As part of my job, I read online reviews and once verified I write an online managerial response. Your review was submitted sometime to our cache on 8/13. We received only one review that day and several the next so it was overlooked- we apologize. When I noticed that it was over looked on Monday and there was no response, I immediately printed and began to gather those details and complete the response. You should know that it is not our position to remove guest feedback from our website. Every guest stay is paramount to our business and your feedback is equally as important. As part of our response and the gathered information to respond to your review, I'd like to let you know the following: We've done caulking in several areas of the kitchen since your stay, the owners are currently onsite and as we've had heavy rains several times in August, have not observed any leaks. We will continue to monitor. The master bedroom door handles have been replaced with larger, less complex handles and locks repaired. Although you did not mention nor we assume had any difficulty with, we are completely resurfacing the pool at the villa. Painting has been completed on much of the living room beams and further painting is being done on the spa steps and support. Another improvement we'd like you to know about is the brand new grill we're installing as well as landscaping improvements...

    Elegant and beautifully detailed villa. Incredible handmade tile decor throughout. We loved this place, with one exception: the four lounge chairs on the deck were shabby and rickety. Two were broken-one collapsed when used and one cut me on the arm (broken chair arm). Disappointing not to be able to sit comfortably on deck and enjoy the view. Otherwise, a spectacular home. Comfortable beds-air conditioned bedrooms. All amenities you need are here; but what's up with the deck chairs?
    One caveat: At certain times the noise from a processing plant below the villa was disturbing. This was during the day, not at night.

    Sapphire Breeze is a beautifully designed villa with fantastic views of great Cruz Bay and on clear days ST. Croix is very visible. this is our second stay and would highly recommend this villa for 2 to 3 couples ample bedrooms and enough room that you are not "bumping" into each other. Pool is fabulously designed and hot tub is always a favorite. first time renters to this villa make sure to request being brought to the villa via rt 10 to Pastory Garden location much easier road.

    The villa is perfect for families. The sleeping areas afford good privacy. The pool is wonderful for children (who are swimmers) and adults. There is an abundance of snorkel gear for borrowing. The location is good but the serenity is sometimes interrupted by the noise from the Weston Resort laundry facility and on occasion the Resort night club. The breeze is great and interior and exterior fans are sufficient for keeping things cool (ac is available in the 2 master suites). I would rent Sapphire Breeze again if vacationing with my children and their respective families.

    The Sapphire Breeze is a magical place! It was our second time there and all was perfect. Any issues that we may have had were quickly taken care of with a conversation with Christine or Karin. The management team was very helpful from the time we first reserved the villa to the last day that we were there. The location in the hills overlooking the Westin St. John and Great Cruz Bay could not have been better. It was also an enjoyable ride to the beautiful beaches along the north shore of the island. Sitting on the deck overlooking the pool and waterfall and then over the Bay was the most peaceful setting - especially at night. Close to town and far enough away afforded us a lot to do and quiet times when wanted. The large hot tub accommodated all of our guests and lead to a nice close to each evening. The many "extras" that are included at this villa made our stay very comfortable as well as we didn't have to bring a lot of things with us. We will certainly return to the Sapphire Breeze!

    Overall, our trip to one of our favorite places was great. Sapphire Breeze was a tad run down with lots of junk around and under the house. The view from this Villa is unbeleivable, but getting to this house is a pain....2 trechorous hills followed by an unpaved road! We will be back soon...just not to this villa

      Thanks for your feedback! The villa is perched high on the hillside –Sapphire Breeze’ elevation is one of the main reasons why the property has fantastic views. The roads are paved leading out to the villa except for the last 100 yards before you turn into the villa's driveway. St. John's roads are narrower than the standard roads.

    We four were amazed at the beauty and design of the villa. We took many photos to show our friends and to show the couple who will be accompanying us next year. I have been coming to the USVI for about 10 years and we have now increased our stay from 2 to 4 weeks. This villa will certainly be the highlight of many future visits.
