  • The infinity edge swimming pool is one of the largest on the island - its the centerpiece of Abrigado. Poolside recliners adjust to your mood and pool floats lay ready for lazy afternoons at home.
  • Step into Abrigado and be transformed by an extraordinary vacation experience, unlike any other on St. John.
  • A fully outfitted gourmet chef's kitchen fitted with solid mahoghany cabinets, European hardware, Caribbean blue glass tiles and rare artisan onyx counter tops.
  • Pendant lighting fixtures were imported from Italy, uniquely crafted, designed and handblown by Oggeti Luce. Counter top seating accomodates three for light dining or conversation with the chef.
  • The dining room furniture is crafted of reclaimed Brazilian peroba wood. Elegant and casual seating is provided with both benches and upholstered host chairs. A black Murano glass chandelier by Nella Vetrina elegantly lights the area.
  • Enjoy casual dining overlooking spectacular sunsets over Pillsbury Sound at Abrigado's poolside dining pavillion. A plush seating area for cocktails is adjacent to the dining table that comfortably seats ten guests.
  • Guests will enjoy the beauty of an original silver sculpture by D'Argenta of sting rays perched on the side dining buffet. Formal china is provided for our guests for that special gourmet meal at home.
  • Carefully fitted for style and comfort, the living room carries through the theme of environmentally sustainable furnishings and lighting highlighting the colors of the Caribbean. A leopard sculpture in silver adds a graceful yet powerful finishing touch.
  • A 46 inch flat screen TV with satelite service, a DVD, and a Wii are ready for your entertainment. The stone walls are personally handcrafted by Joseph, a well known stone artisan on St. John. His design incorporates native stones and shells, including conch and scallops.
  • The two master bedrooms each have a king bed and a large 62 inch diameter chair and a half for reading, lounging, and a flat screen TV for viewing in privacy and comfort.
  • The master bedroom on each floor boasts a king sized bed. All fabrics were personally chosen from Osborne and Little, Lee Jofa and Donghia.
  • The upper master is a purple lovers fantasy with an amethyst gemstone vanity top imported from Brazil. Lit from beneath the vanity glows to show the beauty within.
  • Caribbean blues and starfish art create a magical room for the young or young at heart. This bedroom features two double beds and a private bathroom along with a flat screen TV and DVD player.

    This is our fourth year on St. John. Second year in a row in Abrigado. The property is absolutely amazing and we would definitely recommend VIVA! Villas. The company had everything ready to go, met us at the dock, worked with the rental car company, etc. The property is in a great location - wonderful views, but close to town as well. We'll be back next year.

    Abrigado was perfect and I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about it. The pool and view are amazing and the newly built house is top notch. From the furnishings to the decor, art, and fixtures you can tell that every detail was thought through.
    The pictures of this house do not do it justice and we certainly plan on many return visits. Additionally, the staff at Viva were outstanding. They made the booking process easy, obviously took good care of the property, and helped us plan a perfect vacation.

    Villa Abrigado had not changed since our stay last year! It was just as incredible. The engineers in our family are impressed with the architecture, water filtration system, generator, level driveway, and thoughtful planning in designing this home :-). The ladies of the family love the tile, well-equipped kitchen, infinity pool, beautiful decor, and convenience of the amenities :-). The stunning views impressed all.     This property is a jewel. We found everything from the design of home, its upkeep and amenities, our interaction with the property management, the kindness of the maintenance people combined to make our vacation carefree.

    But ssshh! We don't want too many people to know about it - just like the rest of St John.


    We found that the guests before us had broken a few things that we noted on our arrival and tour of the property. Viva got right on it and fixed what was necessary for our stay.

    Villa Abrigado was a perfect fit for our family of 5 adults. The home is exquisite....from the fully equipped kitchen to the water filtration system, nothing was missing. The villa was beautifully decorated and it is obvious that lots of thought and planning went into the construction of this home.
    Our VIVA! greeter, Gyasi, was thorough and professional. The rental agency also made arrangements for our car rental and mid-week cleaning services.
    After several visits to STJ, we have found a villa that is a "home away from home" and we will definitely rent again.
