  In The Stars is a beautiful home in a great location. Some updating and repairs are sorely needed, but as a launching point for exploring St. John it's wonderful.

  Some of the food items left behind could have been thrown away.
  The safes were not unlocked.
  Several of the porch chairs were not in good working condition.
  Overall we had a very good experience and would return.
  Nancy was very good, patient, and and helpful as was everyone at VI Rentals

  We enjoyed our stay at In the Stars. We had a family of 5 and two grandparents, and this villa's layout with a lower level was perfect for the grandparents to have their own bathroom/kitchen set up with privacy. The property management was also excellent (fixed a problem with the wireless network within a few hours) and the pool deck and view down into Coral Bay was beautiful. The only negatives we found were: 1) the house is older and a bit rough around the edges; 2) the drive into upper Carolina is really hilly and gets a bit old after several days; and 3) the view to the northeast up the BVI's is completely obstructed by trees. Overall, I thought this was a decent villa.

We agree that the pool and views at this villa are amazing as well as the fact that In the Stars has a unique layout which is perfect for larger families...everyone has tons of space here. We're glad that the temporary internet loss due to the wireless network was repaired quickly. St. John does have mountainous terrain and yes, it can get a little tiresome but the views certanly can make the journey worthwhile. We will also discuss your comments regarding the villa looking "rough around the edges" with the property manager as well as the trees. Thanks again for your feedback!

  The house was just amazing!! Coral Bay was very peaceful and the beaches were fantastic. It's a great get away to go and just relax!! We had sunshine everyday!

  Owners need to paint or tape lowest entry steps to prevent serious injury. Bottom post prevents good lighting at bottom stair landing and 3" first riser; I injured my knee & elbow before we applied duct tape markings. Otherwise, house was great, two very comfortable living spaces, very well-equipped kitchens, and very functional and enjoyable pool.
