  Fabulous! Only negative thing that happened during our 12 nite stay was that my son's Sony Playstation Personal (PSP) was removed from the house while we were out enjoying the awesome beaches of St. John. Use the safe in the house for EVERYTHING of any value (we failed to lock up the PSP) even if you locked up the house.

  Seven Spectacular Days at Sea Dream!

  From the moment we were greeted by Marilyn at the ferry dock, we felt at home in this comfortable villa. Sea Dream was an excellent suggestion from Sherrolyn for three couples (Mom and Dad, two grown children, a wife and significant other), who desired a bit of privacy. The construction below was not a problem, as the music of the birds and tree frogs took center stage. A nice size pool and stunning view from the cool breezes on the veranda make it easy to recommend this villa!

  This is a great house; new, clean, easy location, great layout. Great prices too. Will return here again and again. This was our second visit to Sea Dream.

  Beautiful House but some problems

  Beautiful house, pool and gardens. The management staff were very helpful and prompt in fixing the few minor problems we encountered. The view is fairly good, but currently overlooks an ugly construction site in Chocolate Hole.
  
  I was quite bothered by the hot water system that required running the water at least 3-4 minutes to get warm water. (Management staff confirmed that this is typical for the house). Even with the low-flow showerheads, 3 guests would waste over 300 gallons/week just waiting for hot water to shower once a day, shave and wash dishes by hand. With fresh water so scarce on the island, this seems an incredible waste. This is the only villa we've seen with this problem in many visits to St. John.
  We were also bothered by moderate construction and truck noise from a complex in Chocolate Hole, starting weekdays around 7:15 am.
  
  This is a beautiful house. Assuming the construction will be completed at some point, we would rent again if the hot water problem could be resolved.

  Owner's comment: Thank you for your feedback! From nice natural cool to solar heated hot shower water it takes 2 min. with one shower and 45 sec. with two showers going - quantity used about the same as one toilet flush. I typically use the cool water and my wife gets the hot water. All water goes to a gray water tank, and every drop is needed for the garden. No waste. Happily, the construction noise is now gone.

  The element of dissatisfaction comes only from the very noisy surroundings. Both the neighborhood noises, which might be easier to take if the construction quotient was not so high, were incredible and unpleasant, overriding lots of the nice things. Staff from both companies was super and mollified us as best they could. Had we known all this in advance we may have made another choice. All else was super!

  The house was wonderful and much more than we expected. The website didn't do it justice. The car rental service that was recommended by you is another story. We have vacationed several times to St John with family and friends and had never used L&L car rental and will never use them again. If I were you I would not have my companies name assocated with them. We rented two jeeps, one of the jeeps ac worked on and off, when I called L&L to tell them, I was told to jiggle the handle or shut the car off and turn it on again(real professional). When we turned the cars in we were told that one of the jeeps was not clean enough and charged us the 50 dollar cleaning fee. Both jeeps looked exactly the same, both had some sand and since we were on a island and went to a different beach everyday there is going to be some sand, its called usage. So unless someone supplies the rentees a shop-vac it would be impossible to return the car without some sand. Not a good way end a very lovely week.

  The rental company owners informed us that a cleaning clause is in his rental contract and that the sand in one of the two rental vehicles was extraordinary. They do expect some sand in a vehicle but expect guests to do their best to minimize this problem.
