Luminaria is a spacious beautiful home. We enjoyed the large decks with spectacular views! This was our first stay in the Upper Carolina area and it was nice to be so close to the north shore beaches. The home is beautifully furnished, landscaped and well equipped, especially the kitchen!. The driveway is an adventure in itself.....but we got used to it! The Viva staff was very helpful and accommodating as usual! Thanks for a great vacation!

We loved the house and would definitely recommend it as well as all the folks @ Viva, they were awesome. We came in a day late due to hurricane, but we still had a great time. I love Upper Carolina area and have stayed in that area before. The only issue (and not a big one) was that both the greeter and maintenance noted we didn't have enough toilet paper, but no one came back with any, no big deal, we just went out and bought more.

We had a great week at Luminaria, high up Upper Carolina Road looking over Coral Bay and across to the BVI. Luminaria has stunning views and is a very well equipped and cared for villa. Great kitchen, great layout, wonderful hot tub and pool and deck area, beautifully landscaped. Viva Villas was great--very organized and helpful. St. John Car Rental was also excellent. A fantastic and memorable vacation!

I thought I scanned and e-mail my survey, nontheless I can send another survey. I had an amazing time on my honeymoon. Lumaria was beautiful and it was so fun to be there, as well as relaxing, with an amazing view. St. John is also beautiful and the restaurants are amazing. I would definitely recommend this vacation rental, and I wanted to thank you so much for an amazing time. Hope to come back soon.

Very impressive location/view. Lots of space and furniture. Kitchen was well equipped and large. No warning that driveway is very steep and you have to drive a block past it and make a u-turn in order to drive up. Most issues were resolved quickly by Viva Villas. Pool lights never worked and attempts to repair it failed. It took a while to get acclimated to the lack of AC in the living/dining areas.

We recommend to our guests to make the U-turn to enter the driveway for two reasons: primarily so that they can see the driveway before attempt and secondly because its an easier and more gradual approach to the driveway-however, you can go up head on. You are correct, Luminaria only has a/c in the bedrooms. It als has several ceiling fans throughout and screened doors to keep the air circulating throughout. The VIVA Team

Awesome view, love the location....quiet and close to beaches and the quiet side of St. John. Villa was bright and there was always a breeze. Driveway was challenging but aren't they all?

We stayed 8 wonderful days in St. John and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Luminaria Villa. The villa was large and clean, and the views were incredible! We all enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and the spaciousness of the villa. My wife liked having the kids bedrooms accessible by inside stairs, under the same roof. The villa is tastefully decorated and the landscaping lush and colorful with flowering plants and trees all around. The location was very private (clothing optional) and convenient to Coral Bay and the north shore beaches. The villa management company was very responsive brining us a full propane tank for the grill when ours ran out after hours. I wouldn't hesitate staying at Luminaria again and would recomend it to anyone travelling to St. John and staying at the Coral Bay side of the island.

As always, we greatly enjoyed our stay on Saint John thanks to Viva. Our greeter, Corine, was helpful, warm, and welcoming. We can't wait to see her again next year. We had an atypical requests (to order a ppv boxing match at the house) and VIVA did everything they could to make it happen. When we ran into troubles the night of the fight, sherrolyn was extremely helpful on the emergency line, and while things did not work out, VIVA did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. This was our fourth trip to St. John and by far the most relaxing and enjoyable. What a wonderful stay we had in this beautiful home. We enjoyed the basket of treats left for us, the fresh flowers on the table and the other little touches that made us feel at home. We loved the different pieces of pottery and beautiful artwork . We especially enjoyed the wildlife and diversity that surrounded us. We searched for hermit crabs in the dark with flashlights and counted the 50+ bats as they emerged at dusk as we sat in the hot tub drinking banana smoothies and rum punch. No wonder we didn’t have any problems with bugs! The kids enjoyed the donkeys, goats, lizards, frogs, and mongoose that were easy to find if you took the time to look. We had a delightful boat ride to the BVI with Captain Patrick of the Nauti Nymph. He was a wealth of knowledge and we all had a great day of snorkeling and exploring. Some of our favorite restaurants were Morgan’s Mango, Aqua Bistro and Skinny Legs. Miss Lucy’s is just not the same without Miss Lucy. We explored new beaches and found Little Lameshur Bay and Vie’s Beach to be some of our favorites. We look forward to coming back and staying at Luminaria in the near future. Truly a phenomenal vacation.
