  We enjoyed our stay on St. John. This place is not for everybody though. First there are no indoor showers. The bathrooms are nice but the shower stalls are outside. It didn't bother us at all, but some people might not like it. I really enjoyed it. The only thing that we didn't like was the lack of A/C in the greatroom. We spent most of our time there and it was still hot even with the windows open and fans on. Some people couldn't handle that either. The last thing is the drive to the villa. It is a little hairy getting up the hill. We had a jeep and I never used 4 wheel drive, but it was close. Washed out and overgrown, but i enjoyed the challenge.

While the villa has a/c in the two upper bedrooms as well as FULLl a/c in the lower bedroom suite/kitchen/greatroom, we agree that even with ceiling fans going, if the upstairs greatroom sliders have to be closed due to rain, the living room can get a bit humid. This July is proving to be one for the record books in the amount of rain the island has received- We're sorry that you had to close those doors to the Tradewinds that usually keeps things quite cool. The drive and the hills are St. John landmarks-our roads can take a bit to become accustomed to we're happy to hear you enjoyed the challenge! Thanks again for your feedback!

  Our visit to Easy Breezes in june of 2010 was great. The villa was neat and orderly upon our arrival and the views over looking Johnson's Bay and Coral Bay Harbor were fantastic. Unfortunately, we had terrible weather with a bit of rain nearly every day. However, when the sun did come out, the location and proximity of easy breezes was perfect. The only concern of note is that the road to the villa from the main road was very steep and tough. As a family of four, we enjoyed the task of "climbing" our way home, but one who fears tight spots, or an older person with health concerns, may be a bit too much for their respective taste.
  Overall, we loved Easy Breezes as the sunrises were spectacular and the outside covered patio was just a wonderful area in which to read and play games with our family. We highly recommend this villa.

  Thank you so much for your feedback. Yes, the terrain on St. John is quite "hilly" in nature...and our roads can be narrower than what you may be accustomed to. Fortunately, that steep hill upon entry gets you up to those fabulous views and there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

  Fabulous Views with Total Comfort

  First, I am Karen M. from BLOOMINGTON, MN, NOT from Wilmington, MI.
  Easy Breezes was perfect for myself, my husband, and our daughter and son-in-law. Everything is comfortable and clean inside and out, and our daughter and son-in-law really liked having their own apartment. We spent most of our time on the expansive deck or in the pool/deck area. The views are remarkable!! After a day exploring the island, the hot tub was a relaxing and restful end to our day. The Coral Bay area is relaxed and informal with a few restaurants. We found the food to be tasty. There is also a small grocery story and a gas station for your convience. This was our second time with VIVA. In 2005 we stayed at Andante By the Sea which is closer to Cruz Bay. This villa was excellent also if you want to be closer to town. Easy Breezes is more remote, but definitely NOT rustic--just the way we like to vacation. We hope to return to Easy Breezes. Hint: be sure to rent a four-wheel drive--the road to Easy Breezes requires it, but worth the drive.
