Far Niente was a great house with a great location on St. John. Viva was the best rental company we've used to rent houses - very prompt, lots of attention to detail and help with multiple aspects of our vacation, and reliable. We plan to go back and to use Viva and perhaps stay in the same house again. The house was perfect for our needs - two adults and two kids. Lots of room, a great pool, and a view to die for.

Perfect place with Air Conditioning throughout, 2 King beds and 2 Queen. Infinity pool,gas grill, beach chairs, and coolers, nice covered balconies,nice kitchen(2 actually!) Not a far drive into Cruse Bay. Even though it's rainy season, only had one day of rain.

Our small family of three had a wonderful time at Far Niente. The house was perfect for us - big enough for us feel comfortable but not too big that we paid for more than we needed. The VIVA staff were responsive, courteous and thoughtful. The house itself was clean, well-maintained and included many thoughtful touches that others on St. John don't have (flashlights in each bedroom were extremely helpful during those brief power outages). The pool was small but relaxing. The location offered easy access to Cruz Bay and daily shopping needs, although Fish Bay itself is not as scenic a view as some other St. John spots. As with most houses on the island, there were little quirks that could use some attention. For example, the outdoor patios had no exterior lights, which essentially meant we could not use them after sunset. The wirless internet service had fits and starts, making connections inconsistent and frustrating. None of these are showstoppers and, with a little attention, can be easily remedied. All in all, we had a great time and thoroughly enoyed our stay.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay on St. John and at Far Niente. We agree that internet service here on St. John- no matter how an owner tries, can be spotty. Our internet is only as reliable as our Network Provider-if they have a problem with a tower or signal, it affects all of their customers. Still, we try to be as progressive as possible. Thank you also for mentioning the outdoor lighting. We agree 100 percent and the owner actually plans to install additional lighting this summer (September) to enhance the outdoor dining experience at the villa. Thank you again for providing all of your suggestions. We are fortunate to have had you stay at Far Niente and look forward to the opportunity to have you as our guests in the near future. This was our 4th time to St. John and this villa comes in as one of our favorites! The owners took great pride in making sure that everything was comfortable and we lacked for nothing! Would definately recommend.

Only complaint about the villa itself is that aside from the breakfast bar, there is no other place inside to eat - no dining table. On the balcony (where dining table is), there is no light, which is a problem if you are eating dinner after dark. Other than that, villa is in great location with great view! We LOVED the pool and the landscaping is GORGEOUS! We enjoyed our stay very much and can't wait to get back to island life as soon as possible!

Our family of four loved Far Niente. The villa is new and comfortable with a/c throughout. We were close to Cruz Bay yet in a secluded and private area. St John is one of the most beautiful places on earth. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation!

VIVA is incredible as always. Very helpful. Far Niente is beautiful. Landscaping is amazing. Only bad thing is the front door lock is too difficult to use. It would be nice to have a few more ice trays too, but no complaints! Otherwise, an incredible home and incredible stay. We'll be back! Thank you!

Our vacation to St.John's was amazing!! It was our first time on the island and we loved it. Our villa, Far Niente, was spectacular, with great amenities and an unparalleled view!! The infinity edged pool was awesome,as was the beautiful landscaping! We liked the location...private, quiet but close enough to town that we could get in and out of Cruz Bay easily (once we mastered driving on the left side of the road!!). We would recommend a stay at Far Niente to anyone...you'll love it!!

This is a really terrific villa and we had a really great experience with Viva--the most organized and efficient company we've worked with so far in St. John. Our only hiccup was not having maid service while we were there; in our three weeks, the maid came once to make up beds and change towels. We were happy to clean it ourselves throughout the week but having the maid once a week would've been helpful. That's not a complaint--just a comment. We loved the house and had an awesome stay. Frank, the property manager/maintentance guy is TERRIFIC!
this is a beautiful modern villa with nice views of fish bay, a beautiful infinity edge pool and air conditioned throughout, which was important for my wife and daughter who have allergies. we loved our stay and would stay there again! The folks from VIVA were very helpful in finding a place that met our needs.
The house was great for our family with lots of space for everyone. Enough privacy for the kids - everything was very clean - The property manager was fantastic - even went back to the house after we had left and retrieved a lost necklace for us. Great vacation!
